I don’t man, not anything good. I’m no preacher. I guess if reading Scripture doesn’t do it for you just think about the idea of justice, real justice meted out in measure to what one deserves. How often do evildoers actually face justice? Not often. Now, what if they knew they’d have to pay someday? I think a lot of them do, it scares the hell out of them, and that explains their rush towards transhumanism, downloading their consciousness, and attempting to achieve immortality. So approach it from that end, maybe? That if profound spiritual wickedness exists, so does good?
Most of modern America is based on making disgusting people not feel weird about the disgusting weird things they do and say and believe. It’s an adult kindergarten for freaks.
Yes, and you accurately called it small-l liberalism, aka the Enlightenment. Freedom from all unchosen bonds/absolute individualism. Hedonism, even. Look at me, getting all Charles Haywood on you.
I like him a lot. I find his book reviews very informative, and he ties and relates everything very well to our current situation. Further, he’s a great interview. I find him just radical enough with the good sense to not be stupid or heartless. A very thoughtful man who comes across as genuine. Of course, I could be grossly wrong. Time will tell. E-celebs tend to be a different breed, and I mean that in a bad way.
"Believing you will be held to account for what you do is the only sane and rational point of view, without which everything is meaningless."
That seems to be my major problem. Currently, I don't believe it. Do you have any idea how to get over the hump?

"But guilt and shame are like totally holding us back, man."
Yep, holding us back from civilizational devastation.

Isn't that the essence of liberalism?
"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law."

What do you think of Haywood? While I enjoy his book review style, his politics are sometimes too radical for me.
