I have never smoked a pipe, though many people have told me pipes are better than both cigarettes and cigars. We all have our own method of slowly poisoning ourselves.
Pipe smoking is overrated, in my opinion, but the tobacco is a lot different and a lot more flavorful than anything you get out of cigarettes and cigars. I prefer the latter myself - perhaps too much. But, as you said, we all have our vices.

I actually posted this while smoking a cigar myself. It's a bad habit, one I try to indulge in sparingly, but I enjoy it health risks notwithstanding.
I wish I liked smoking, Alex and I were talking about how many great and dark writers smoke like chimneys.
