Strangely, I can understand why there are no other comments on this story. What is there that needs to be said about excellence that speaks for itself?
I appreciate that comment greatly. Thank you. It means a lot. There's always uncertainty about how some stories will be received. So I appreciate this.
I would have commented a lot earlier, but I couldn't remember the word "Mounodoulos" or your name and none of the other search terms worked. Anyway, I loved it. The setup is interesting, the resolution makes sense and might even be helpful. I wasn't sure what the tiger-creatures was supposed to map onto in the real world aside from "worse temptation." But I very much appreciate that the two characters were two sides of a coin - neither one was a complete man yet. I wish the second guy had gotten his maturity at the end, too, though.
Daniel, thank you for the insightful comment. This was very much an allegory. As for the tiger, at the risk of over-explaining, the tiger represents feminine power. Felines generally are associated with the feminine, and the tiger is a powerful feline.

Story of the year...turn this into a book
I appreciate that, but I think I said everything I wanted to say in this story as it is. But thank you.
Maybe release a collection of your short stories?
I’ve thought about it but don’t think I have enough yet.
But when you do . . . I need another Alexander Hellene book on my shelf!
Outstanding
Thank you.

Great stuff Alex! Just finished up; simple story, but really well executed with great symbolism
I’m glad you liked it Rohan! Much appreciated.
Great story. It reminded me a little bit of the 'Outer Limits' TV series minus the wanking.
They didn’t have wanking on that show? Huh, I’m clearly misremembering things.
